Here are the most common questions about our club.
When are tryouts for the 2009-2010 club season?
We have already held try outs for this year's team. However, next year's try outs will most likely be held in either September of October.
How does the club volleyball team fundraise?
The majority of fundraising done by doing concessions for the WSU Varsity volleyball team. Games are typically Firday and Saturday nights for the first three months of the semester.
We also hold one tournament during second semester which serves as a beneficial fundraiser as well as a 'scramble' sometime throughout the year. The scramble is a chance for anyone who likes to play to come out and play a 3 on 3 tournament with other participants.
How often are practices and what do they consist of?
We practice every Monday and Wednesday from 7:30-9:30 p.m. in Bohler gym and practices typically consist of skill work, scrimmaging and conditioning.
What is expected of a Volleyball Club team member?
Team members are expected to come to every practice as well as participate in all team tournaments. Members are also expected to pay $50.00 per year for dues.
What does the team pay for?
The team uses money made from fundraisers to pay for travel, lodging, and equipment for practices.
What do team members pay for?
Team members are expected to pay for their own personal equipment as well as yearly dues. Team members may also pay for team apparel such as practice shirts or sweats.
